Copacabana is the most traditional neighborhood in Río de Janeiro and has the most famous beach internationally. It attracts a large number of tourists throughout the year, especially during the New Year and Carnival seasons. In Nochevieja, the traditional artificial fires on the beach attract a large crowd. The seafront is full of kiosks where visitors stop to drink refreshing coconut water. It is also the place where several national and international events have been held throughout the year.
